Sears Has Cosmetics?!

I went to Sears today and I spotted a whole Nyx section in the cosmetics area. In addition to NYX, they had Loreal, Maybelline, Covergirl, Physicians Formula (I think), Iman, Almay, and Revlon.
All Loreal EYE products were buy 1 get one 50% off.
All Covergirl products were buy 1 get one 50% off. (not sure if it was all products or just eyes)
Almay and Revlon were buy 1 get one 50% off combined.
Nyx was also buy one get one 50% off off.
The prices at Sears were the average "drugstore" price, so similar to CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens...etc.
(e.g. Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation was $13.00)
Although the prices are on the "pricier" range of what you can find the products at, with the sales, it would probably average out to the price at say Walmart or Target.
I didn't end up buying anything, because I wanted the NYX HD concealer (wand) but they did not have my shade. Which brings me to another point. It sort of felt like a lot of the stock were "unwanted" products/shades. (e.g. there were a ton of dream bouncy blushes and many people are not a fan of those). Despite this, I still think there were a ton of products that would be worth checking out if there was a sale going on. Keep your eyes out for sales at Sears!

Did you guys know Sears carried this stuff. If I missed any brands please leave it in the comments below(:

My Honest Thoughts on IMATS

So I've been really busy with school and haven't posted in months, but I'm really gonna try to keep up with this. Finals are this week and after finals, I'm going to try to get at least two posts up a week. Anyways, I decided to go to IMATS this weekend, and for those of you who don't know, IMATS (international makeup artists trade show) is a makeup show that goes around the world (LA, NYC, London, Vancouver, Toronto, and Sydney). It was a three-day event. On Friday, it was for pro's only, and then Saturday and Sunday were open to the public. I decided late last week that I wanted to go so the tickets for Saturday were already sold out. I got my ticket for Sunday for $45. That is the first "con" about this event. In order for me to make me feel like going to IMATS was worth it was that I needed to buy enough stuff to makeup for the ticket. Does that make sense? I honestly do not feel like all of the stuff I bought with the discount was worth the $45 entry ticket. It probably averaged out, if not, I probably ended up paying more money than if I were to buy the stuff outside. Many people go to IMATS for the brands that you don't normally see, but most of the stuff I ended up getting were from Sigma, Crown, Stila, and Bobbi Brown. Granted, the deals I got were amazing, but I just don't think I saved enough to justify going. It was a great experience, and I probably will go again for INGLOT and BHcosmetics, OCC..etc. but just to buy a Bobbi Brown corrector and a Stila eyeliner..I'll pass. I will probably go again because it was really fun to meet/see alot of gurus like eleventhgorgeous, lovemelisamichelle, makeupbytiffanyd, ilikeweylie..etc.

I'll be posting a haul/review of all the things I got at IMATS hopefully in the next two week because these couple days are going to be hectic with finals and projects due. I just wanted to get my honest thoughts up before that haul.

If any of you went to IMATS, I wanna know your experience and thoughts on it!

"Flirt! Rock-N-Rebel" Eau de Parfum

I bought this perfume yesterday, and I am so obsessed! I went to Kohls because I had $30 Kohls cash and this was $39.99 (for 1.7 oz). Funny story, Flirt had like 5 perfumes and this was the one that I was about to skip over and not smell because it looked alot like the Ed Hardy perfume that I don't like. I didn't skip over it and now I have a new favorite perfume(:
I absolutely hate musky perfumes. I love fruity, fresh scents and this is perfect for me. It has Luscious Blackberry, Apple Nectar, and Pink Grapefruit.

You should go to Kohls and smell this!

Leave a comment below if you know where else this is sold because I've only seen this at Kohls.

Benefit's "Tan About Town" -ft. BADgal Lash, Hoola Bronzer, and Some Kind-a Gorgeous

I was at Sephora the other day, and I decided to pick up the "Tan about Town" travel kit that they had with all their mini stuff. I paid $12 for it and if you were to get the individual travel size BADgal lash it would be $10 so I thought this was a steal because I also wanted to try the Hoola Bronzer.

BADgal Lash
Overall, I really liked this mascara, but I wouldn't go back and buy a full size version once I run out of this. I found this wand to be too big for my eye and this mascara is terrible for bottom lashes because of the size of this wand. I am, however, in love with this formula. It is not to wet and not to dry and gives me good length. I am more concerned about length rather than volume because in my opinion if you have short stubby lashes that are volumized, you still can't see the lashes.

Two Coats on very short stubby lashes

Some Kind-A Gorgeous
(medium)
I absolutely hate this stuff. It is so GREASY and it does nothing for me. In the swatch it might look like it has decent coverage but once you rub it in, that all goes away. Plus, this color is way too dark for me to even use so I can't really give a full review on this stuff.

Hoola Bronzer
This is an amazing bronzer. It doesn't make me look orange or muddy. This is a little too dark for me to use as an all over bronzer but this is perfect for contouring. I use my NYC sunny bronzer all over and then use this to contour my cheek bones. When I first started using this I would take a smaller blush brush and kind of draw a line where I wanted to contour and then buff it out but I found that when I did it that way it got streaky and hard to blend. But, if you just put it on in a buffing circular motion, it is amazing and blends very well. I am considering getting the full version once I'm done with this travel size.

Nail of the Day: Revlon Colorstay's "Pale Cashmere"

Today's NOTD is a polish I picked up a few days ago from Target called "Pale Cashmere", a Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel. It's a super light pastel pink color that I'm in love with.

3 coats
w/ Seche Vite Top Coat

I purchased this because I saw it on Amarixe and I loved it! It is really sheer but three coats worked for me. I love how the brush tip is slightly rounded so it's easy to get near the cuticles. This polish can be found at any drugstore or target, walmart. Anywhere you can find revlon products. I picked this up for $5 at Target.

What do you guys think?

Nail of the Day: Sephora by OPI's "Domestic Goddess"

Today's NOTD is a polish I recently picked up at Sephora. It is Sephora by OPI's "Domestic Goddess". It is an opaque bright grape color that I am loving for summer.

2 Coats
w/ Seche Vite top coat

If you look closely, with two coats, it's still not completely opaque on my nails but with three coats it should be fine. The only thing about the product I don't like is the brush. It's a very small brush that is long, thin, and rounded. I prefer a flatter and wider brush but this brush isn't horrible. This polish can be found at Sephora stores or on their website for $9.50.

What do you guys think?
